Overview Silicon Dairy, LLC was founded in November 2001, as an Internet development and hosting company. Our first clients included some of America’s oldest companies including, Blodgett Ovens and Old Town Canoe. In January 2003, Silicon Dairy began offering statewide dial-up Internet access. We are proud to be 100% Vermont owned and operated. All of our operations are located right here in Vermont. As a socially responsible business, when possible we donate our time, services and money to individuals and community organizations in need.
About Our Name You may have heard of  Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley. If so, welcome to Silicon Dairy! Our firm is located in the Champlain Valley, in the heart of Vermont's rich dairy country.
This region, with its' centuries old dairy farms has provided a picturesque backdrop for integrated circuit and microchip manufacture for decades. We chose our company name as a symbolic nod and a tip of the hat to the farmers who maintain the agricultural fabric of Vermont's landscape as well as to the high tech companies whose products make our work possible.
Lastly, some of our families have been in the dairying business for centuries both locally and abroad. This proud family tradition continues to this day. Although our attachment to an actual dairy begins and ends with our name and family heritage, we embrace the hard work and dedication that it takes to run such an operation. |
