Process While each project is different, we generally follow a tried and true process. The following briefly outlines this process.
Initial Contact During our first conversation we'll try to determine if our offerings and strength matches your needs. If we feel there's the potential for a good fit we'll schedule a meet and greet planning meeting. Meet and Greet A meet and greet has three goals, the first is to meet eachother face-to-face. The second is for you to learn more about our service offerings, process and what we're all about. Lastly, our goal is to develop a greater understanding of your needs. Every project is different so it's important for us to hear you or your project team members describe what you are looking for. Project Outline and Price Quote Once we've had a chance to learn more about your project we'll put together a brief project outline and price quote for you to review. We like to get the money thing settled up front so we don't waste your time or our own. Project Planning - Design Development We'll meet to discuss your vision of the site. What look you are going for? What adjectives would you use to describe the finished site? How do you want to be perceived by your target audience? Our design team will ask questions, listen and ask more questions. This is a collaborative process. One that requires us to present you with several design directions for review and comment. After a round or two of revisions, together, we will arrive at the final design direction. Production Once a design direction has been selected we'll move your project into the production phase. Our programmers will begin building a site skeleton based on the site's architecture decided during our planning meetings. After the skeleton is in place we'll begin populating the site with your content. This includes copy, images and other media if appropriate. Training If necessary, your staff will receiving training in how to maintain the site moving forward. You can always sign up for a maintenance agreement in which case we do all the work but most sites we build these days are housed in a content management system. Thus, with a little training your staff will be able to make updates whenever you need via an easy to use administrative interface. Launch Event and Site Marketing If appropriate we will coordinate the site launch with an event, trade show, announcement of a new product line etc. Silicon Dairy, LLC will also make recommendations for both online and offline site marketing. Evaluation Everyone wants to know how their site is doing. Gaging the effectiveness of the new web site is a complex process. A few weeks after the launch we'll ask questions like, are sales up? or have more rooms been booked than this time last year? In addition, every site hosted with Silicon Dairy, LLC comes with access to a graphical site usage application. This tool provides a look at site traffic an important step in evaluating the effectiveness of the new site. Based on our findings we'll work together to make any needed modifications. |
