Network Status
Configuring MacOS 10.x

Follow these steps to configure your MacOS 10.x computer to connect to Silicon Dairy.


Step 1

Click the Apple Menu in the upper left corner of your screen and choose System Preferences from the menu. Once in System Preferences, click the Network icon.



Step 2

Click on Internal Modem in the list of available connections and then click on Assist Me.



Step 3

If your Mac asks you to name your location, type Home or some other description for the location you will use your Mac. You can enter anything you want in this space. It is only used for your own informational purposes and is not transmitted to Silicon Dairy or the Internet.

Click Continue when done.



Step 4

Choose I use a telephone modem to dial my ISP from the list, and then click the Continue button.



Step 5

Type your Silicon Dairy username in the Account Name field. Then, type the password to your account in the two Password fields. In the ISP Phone Number field, type the dial-up access number you were assigned. If you do not remember your dial-up access number, use our ->Dialup Access Number search tool.

Click the Continue button when done.



Step 6

Choose your modem from the drop-down list. Chances are, your modem is already selected.

If you subscribe to voicemail services through your telephone carrier, you may need to check the box next to Ignore dial tone if you experience No Dial Tone errors when a voicemail message is waiting for you.

Click the Continue button to proceed.



Step 7

You've completed setting up your dial-up connection on your MacOS 10.x computer. Verify the information is correct an then click the Continue button to save your settings. If the System Preferences window is still open, you can close it as well.
