Configuring Microsoft Windows 2000 Follow these steps to configure a Microsoft Windows 2000 PC to connect to Silicon Dairy. | Click on the Start button and select Network and Dial-up Connections. |
| Double-click on Make New Connection. |
| You should now have the Network Connection Wizard on your screen. Click Next to get started. |
| Select Dial-up to the Internet and click Next. |
| Select I want to set up my Internet connection manually, then click Next. |
| Select I connect through a phone line and modem, and click Next. |
| Type in your local access number. If you do not remember your dial-up access number, use our Dialup Access Number search tool. Click Next to continue. |
| Enter your username, in all lower case. Then enter the password assigned to you during the setup process (it will appear as stars).
When you are done click Next. |
| Name the connection Connection to Silicon Dairy, and click Next. |
| Select No when asked if you would like to configure a mail client. Configuring e-mail is covered in other setup guides. Click Next to continue to the next step.

| You should now see the dialer screen. Make sure your username and password are typed in. Once again, your password will appear as small dots or stars.
When ready click Dial to connect to the Internet. |
| You should now see the dialer screen as your computer attempts to connect to Silicon Dairy. Once it's connected, the window will disappear into a small icon next to your clock in the lower right corner of your screen. |
